Want to Pre-Order? - June 21, 2007

Hye everyone....Thanks for everything! Here's a way to pre-order the latest CD!

As many of you know, the last year has been spent working on my latest recording project with my new producer – Nick Kirgo. Nick’s vision and insight into my music – as well as his passionate artistry on the guitar – has made this recent collection of songs everything I have ever dreamed of. The result – the Muse has been awakened and my writing continues to explode onto the page as we continue to gather resources to professionally mix, master, duplicate, and properly promote before setting an official release date.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your generosity, support, patience, and dream weaving with me. Whether you have known me my whole life, or recently met me, you are receiving this letter because you understand my passion about my music and have in some way expressed support for that passion. I am hopeful that you will continue to support me and my music in the coming year by attending gigs, purchasing my CDs, buying my music online, spreading the word to friends who may live in cities where I am playing, schedule a house concert for me to play at your residence or event, and generally continue to help promote my passion.

In order to make this project the best it can be, I am exploring other ways to produce a CD that has been proven successful for other independent artists. Several different levels of sponsorship and options for contributing are shown below.

Whether or not you choose to sponsor or contribute, please know I am sincerely moved by the outpouring of love and support I receive from you, my family, fans, friends, and followers. If it wasn’t for you, I would not have had the courage to step off the edge this past year and dive into this music mission of mine. I am excited at the prospect of taking the next steps and look forward to continuing this journey with you.

Thank you all so very much,

Lauren

____I will serve as a host for a House Concert.

What is a house concert?
This is when a professional musician comes into someone's home and provides an evening of entertainment to those invited. Chairs are set up for seating, or some hosts have other accommodations. Sometimes a "house concert" is held in a local senior center or cafe that can accommodate about 50 to 75 people.
Artist will perform for a minimum of 45 minutes and a maximum of three hours. Artist will bring CDs and merchandise to sell and some to raffle off or give away as door prizes. (For more information, see: www.concertsinyourhome.com; www.houseconcert.us)

Is there an admission charge? How are the performers paid? Usually a "donation" is charged at the door. The money collected goes to the performer with a percentage going to the host, depending on arrangements made ahead of time. The performers like the setting since the audience is attentive and appreciative of the intimacy of the performance.

____I have resources to offer in the way of studio time, publishing, promotion via print, radio or TV. Please contact me for further discussion.

Happy Holidays - December 17, 2006

I hope you will all have time to spend with your family and friends in the next few weeks. I will be in beautiful S. FLorida with mine!

Thanks to all my friends and especially my fans for making this a fantastic music year! I am honored that you come to see me play and that you still tolerate my pounding emails. You would be sirprised by what a tiny bit of encourgement does for us indies!

I am also sending you this holiday request. Please treat each other kindly. We are all one people on this planet and intolerence and belligerent denial seem to have crept into everyone's consciousness and actions in the last few years. I too struggle with acceptance of those people I don't know or understand, that seems natural but I try to have an openmind. One thing I have deducted in recent years too is...I don't have to like you but....I HAVE to love you! Peace on Earth Now and Forever!
Love,
Lauren

HEP C AWARE TELETHON - September 24, 2006

Here's our press release for our 3rd Annual Internet Telethon on Oct 21st.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Contact: Kelly Zirbes (818)769-2701
HepatitisCAware@aol.com

National Hepatitis C Spokesperson Kelly Zirbes
Announces 3rd Annual “Hep C Aware” Telethon
Raising Awareness of Hepatitis C
Live on Alternative.nu and KVMD TV October 21!

WHAT: HEP C AWARE – THE INTERNET TELETHON
WHEN: Saturday, October 21, 2006
TIME: 12 – 8 pm PST
WHERE: www.hepcaware.org, www.alternative.nu, KVMD TV
WHY: To raise awareness of Hepatitis C
WHO: Musical artists, comedians, doctors and interviews with people living with Hepatitis C

National spokesperson for Hep C Aware and The Hepatitis C Caring Ambassadors Program (HCCAP) has announced the 3rd Annual “Hep C Aware” Telethon to air over the Internet and on KVMD TV Channel 23, Saturday, October 21, 2006. The Telethon is the signature event of the partnership between Hep C Aware, www.HepCAware.org and HCCAP, www.HepChallenge.org , both non-profit organizations dedicated to raising awareness of Hepatitis C. This event will be live on Alternative.nu for eight hours, on TV in Southern California for two hours and will feature musical performances by over 20 bands, comedians and medical experts as well as special guests and featured spots about Hepatitis C throughout the entire event.

This major event will be hosted by Kelly Zirbes, Alfie Martin, Mary White M.D. and special guests and will feature performances by some of the industry’s most celebrated artists. Already on board are legendary MC5 founder and guitarist Wayne Kramer, comedian Courtney Cronin and special guest comics, blues rocker Peach, female-fronted guitar rockers Kanary, Malibu’s Big Dume, Paperback Hero, Eden Automatic, Deb Pasternak, Scott Detweiler, Analog In, Hard Luck Story, Keaton Simons, Lauren Adams, Malea McGuinness and Kelly's Lot.

The idea for the Telethon was born 3 years after Kelly Zirbes began raising awareness of Hepatitis C to honor her friend Gioia, who lost her battle with the disease. During that time Kelly produced benefits and shows all over the country with the help of other musicians interested in making a difference. After hosting a online Music Video show on Alternative.nu Kelly realized that the internet was the perfect tool to quickly and efficiently raise awareness and provide information about this silent epidemic. In 2004, Zirbes founded HepCAware.org and created the Telethon to do just that. With the help of Alternative.nu and the Hepatitis C Caring Ambassadors Program the telethon has also become a voice for those affected by Hepatitis C.

Hepatitis C is a systemic blood borne virus that primarily attacks the liver. One in 50 Americans have HCV yet two out of three of them do not know it. There is no vaccine for Hepatitis C. You may have been exposed to Hepatitis C and should get tested if you have: received blood, blood products, or an organ transplant prior to 1992, ever shared drug, paraphernalia, either by injecting or snorting, ever been stuck by a used blood needle, been on kidney dialysis, had a tattoo or body piercing, had sexual activity that involves contact with blood, shared personal care items(razors, toothbrushes, etc.) with other people, been incarcerated or are a war veteran (especially Vietnam).
